They build five snow days into the school calendar. Today is number 6 in Melrose. I think Boston is on 8 or 9. So far it just means they'll go one extra day in the summer. Our girls don't care because they'll be at circus camp by then.
Charlotte's friend Jillian is over. They just finished their Science Fair Project: they extracted DNA from strawberries.
The snow is fun, but we're looking forward to flying away from it soon.

Productive Weekend
Yesterday we went to Home Depot to buy paint for the kitchen. We ended up renovating the attached powder room.
Also, the kitchen got painted.

Happy Friday
Charlotte's "real" Seahawks shirt didn't arrive until after the big event but that didn't stop her from proudly wearing it to school yesterday. With pigtails.
Tonight when I got home from work Audrey was wearing some old kid sunglasses and lipstick. With the computer headset on and the computer screen lighting she looks like she's piloting a plane.

Winter is Here
We had it pretty easy until the end of January. We had the blizzard last week and now another storm today that brought us another foot. It stalled over us and delivered more than expected.
The girls had two snow days last week, and now two this week (today and tomorrow). The cities and towns are having a hard time digging out. I'm running out of places to throw snow - the banks get so high that the snowblower can no longer throw over them.
These pictures are when I got home from work around 6:30. I had cleared the snow in late morning before going in. Did it again tonight. No more snow expected until Friday.

Snowpacalypse!
Not really. Just a slightly bigger than normal snowstorm. Kids had two days off school. They are bummed to go back this morning.
